A Tribute to Abu Bakr Salem

Join us for a special evening celebrating the life and artistry of the late Abu Bakr Salem (1939–2017), one of the most influential voices in Yemeni and Gulf music.

Hailing from Tarim, Salem’s journey began in the 1950s at Aden Radio before moving to Beirut in 1958. His career later flourished across Cairo and the Gulf, with significant chapters in Jeddah and Riyadh—the city where he spent his final years and passed away in December 2017.

Throughout his illustrious career, he produced a vast collection of albums and songs that remain cornerstones of Arabic music. He worked alongside celebrated poets and composers, inspiring generations of artists, including Abdullah Al-Ruwaished, Rashed Al-Majed, and Abdulemjeed Abdullah.

This concert revives the spirit of his music, performed by the renowned Adel Al-Mas, accompanied by a grand choir and directed by Maestro Dr. Khaled Nouri, leading an ensemble of nearly 40 talented musicians and vocalists.…
