Autonomous e-Mobility Forum at Qatar National Convention Centre

Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti inaugurated the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum Qatar at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The two-day event, hosted by the Ministry of Transport and organized by Just Us & Otto Marketing Services, welcomed high-profile officials from the transportation industry.


In his opening remarks, Minister Al-Sulaiti emphasized Qatar's commitment, under the guidance of H.H. the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to developing a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation system. He highlighted Qatar's success in providing safe mobility experiences during major events like the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Minister Al-Sulaiti also shared updates on Qatar's progress in electrifying public buses and announced plans for a specialized center to inspect and certify electric vehicles. He underscored Qatar's ambitions to become a regional hub for EVs and reaffirmed efforts in advancing autonomous vehicle operations to support the goals of Qatar National Development Strategy and Qatar Vision 2030.

Minister Al-Sulaiti and other officials explored the latest advancements in driverless technology during a tour of the exhibition and experienced a ride on an autonomous e-bus, highlighting Qatar's strides towards a greener and smarter transportation future.
